Why I Love Being a Bartender...

Well first of all, it's a lot of fun.  Being behind a bar and actually knowing what you're doing is a very exhilarating experience.  I feel powerful.  People kinda count on you to make their day/night (sometimes morning) with a good drink.  You can totally **** it up if you don't know what you're doing.

I especially love it when the bar is busy.  The drunker they are, the better the tips baby! The best thing about being a bartender is that generally people just like to watch you work.  For some reason they are just fascinated by someone pouring alcohol and making drinks.  It's a good time.  The best job I could possibly have while I'm in college.

That is an interesting perspective. I was never a bartender but I did work in a supermarket deli for 8 years. I also served people from behind a case. I hated it and loved getting out from behind the case. I hated being watched and having to cater to people's picky whims. It's like "Who care how thin the damn meat is, just eat it!" So my point is it is interesting to hear someone have such a totally different perspective of a similar job.
