Anyone Can Be Taught

I have seen really ignorant people change through education, but the most important thing is the way to teach.

I always tell my husband that you can never teach anyone anything with an attitude. You should gain their trust first, never be rude or judgmental, and never make fun of someone because they don't know something.

If you want a degree just to get a job, then you are right, it's worthless.

well not every one can get a phd and even w/ a phd where are you going to get 10 years experience

and how many people with masters degrees and phd's are filiping burgers

I have to say you do, how many PhDs with more than 10 years of experience are out of job?

no not really

Well, I can't argue with that. But with better education you have better chance in finding a job.

true but again what good is education when you can't get a job after it is all said and done

@ Tulick: thank you for the comment. Education is not just through text book, it includes learning from life experiences as well
@ AKA007: I had best and worst teachers, they really effect their students life.

yes! I really wish all teachers know this. I had a few teachers that just made it impossible to learn due to arrogance.

and what good is education beyond the basics

My brother had the same problem, such a pity, he is really smart, but never went to college. Thank you for your comment
