My Conversion

I was 11 when I first started going to church with my dad's co-worker whom I had a huge crush on.  He was married with 2 boys I babysat.  I went with them on one Sunday and then my family started going to church with them.  At age 11 I was "baptized" into the Anglican church.  That man became my Godfather and his wife my Godmother.  Two years later, we as a family were invited to a Jimmy Swaggart Crusade in Toronto, ON at the old Maple Leaf Gardens.  I did NOT want to go but being 13, I had no choice.  (This was before Jimmy's fall).  that night Jimmy talked on the book of Revelation and God's return.  I really don't know how to  describe it, but I believe it was the Holy Spirit that took over my actions and thoughts.  I wanted to go to the front where Jimmy was.  M y brother said NO WAY and mom didn't know the way down so my dad took me.  He heard God speak to him as well.  My dad and I gave our hearts to Jesus on Friday September 13, 1982.  Within that one month, my mom and my brother also converted to Christianity.  It has been the best decision of my life and I have never regreted it.  No, life has not been easy or easier, but it has been hepful to have a God to lean on.  I would never turn back the clock and change it, now 25 years later.
