The Third DayWell.. it's now the third day after my cancer surgery and thought I'd share an update. After cutting out the cancerous tissues within the right side of my chest wall, my prognosis is very good, although I won't get the complete pathology report until tomorrow, but from what the surgeon stated Friday morning, that he was certain that all the cancerous material was taken out.
I will have the outer stitches removed on the 10th and the inner stitches will dissolve on their own in 6 months. I probably should have taken up a plastic surgeon, as my incision is quite nasty... but I guess the main thing is that I am alive and well.
I will go back in Mid-January for further testing to see if there is any cancer remaining and if so, then I will have to undergo chemotherapy... which I am sure that won't happen... I hope.
Life goes on and so shall I.
