I Am a Cancer Survivor
It has now been over three years that I am cancer free. This is one of my biggest accomplishments in life. Going through cancer, having surgery and then having radiation and chemotherapy treatments has made me a stronger person. I do not sweat the small stuff anymore and realize how precious life is and enjoy every day that is given to you. Not only did I battle cancer, but I also went through a divorce at the same time. Two wammies at one time. But life goes on, and we have to make the best of it. There are always people in worst situations than we are.
After my treatments were complete, I decided to change my career and went back to school. I am now certified in medical coding and billing and am currently looking for a job in the medical field.
