It was back then when I found a lump on my left testical.
I found the lump on a Thursday, called the doc Friday, saw the primary doctor on Tuesday, Specialist on Wednesday. That next Monday I was under the knife, leaving one lonely testical behind.
It was a nasty type of cancer, a cancer that spreads fast throughout the body.
But by the grace of God, I found out in time by inspecting.
I didn't have any chemo, for the cancer didn't have the time to spread out beyond the testical, but I did have a major surgery to check the lymph nodes to see if the cancer did spread or not.
Again by the Grace of God, it didn't.
Since that time, I have been free of any type of cancer.
But there are times, why me? Why did I not get cancer? Is God planning something for me?
I don't consider myself a "true" cancer survivor. I do consider myself a cancer victim though. I did lose a member of my body.
But I guess I am here to say to all men from 15-35 years of age. Inspect yourself. If you do find a hard lump, go quickly to your doctor. Don't be all "macho" and "manly". Go.
