s an only child, I take care of my mother. Dad passed away Nov 24 as the result of a massive stroke he suffered Sept 20, 2009. Mom lives in their own home about 15 min drive from me & hubby Richard. Mom has slight mental decline & has stopped bathing (been quite a while now I'm guessing since she bathed last - I really don't know I'm just guessing, but knowing her...)I want to place her in an ALF but also know she will NOT want to leave her home, but she may not be able to afford to live in a 3 bedroom, 2 car garage house - she'll only have her social security to live on. I just wish she'd let someone - Anyone - help her bathe!!!!!
