I Was Sexually Abused By My Mother

It was more like violent psychotic attacks from when I was a baby- sexual abuse because she attacked sexual parts of me. There I have said it almost out loud. It's a big dark secret- only my therapist knows. Keeps me from connecting with people. Has anyone been able to share these things with a non-professional? Is there anyone out there who understands what it was like to have a mother with psychotic breaks who seems perfectly functional to outside society?

    I've shared bits and pieces about some of my abuse experiences with some really close friends, and I guess I've actually shared more than with any therapist I've seen. Both of my parents were abusive and still are in ways, and no matter how jacked up they are, they have those "perfectly normal" masks they put on in public, so no one suspects a thing.
    I'm sorry that she did this to you.

    I've posted about my abuse here, but all the sexual abuse was by males.
    I'm sorry she did that, that's terrible.
