I Am A Christian Nudist

I Find No Conflict.

In my research, and experience, I find no conflict in being socially nude (even in a co-ed situation) and the Christian faith. Being naked, in and of itself, is not a sin. There is nothing wrong with the human body that makes it evil or immoral. What goes on in the mind and heart of a person is where the problem lies. I can't speak for other cultures specifically, but at least here in the United States nudity has been heralded as synonymous with debauchery and perversion. This is sad because there is absolutely nothing wrong with being naked, even among the opposite sex. From personal experience I find that it is extremely comfortable and not sexually arousing at all. It's exciting, of course, but most any recreation is or else it wouldn't be any fun. I have done a fair amount of study on this topic as well, and I, as well as numerous others, find that there is no conflict in the Bible either. God is effectively silent on the issue, as He is on sport hunting, team sports, television, space travel, and a host of other topics. There is actually very little in the Bible regarding recreational activities at all. This tells me that God is more concerned with allowing us to "work out our salvation" (as the Apostle Paul put it) and make intelligent decisions about what we should and should not do based on the conviction of the Holy Spirit and what His Holy Word does tell us. He is much more concerned with the heart condition of a man than He is with whether or not we're having dinner with our friends and we happen to be naked. If our heart is lusting after our friend's spouse, then we are obviously wrong. But if we are able to just enjoy each other's company without desiring the other person, then it doesn't matter. We can lust after someone that's fully dressed in a turtle neck and trench coat and be just as wrong for it. It's the heart condition that matters. In my own personal experience I found that it's much more curious and thought driven to undress someone with my eyes. The few times I've been naked with my friends I've found that this isn't an issue. It's not an issue at all when we're all naked, you kinda foget about it after a little while and realize that it's not a big deal.

Definitely more of a lust issue, most of the time, towards clothed people. "Modern" swimwear is where this is most prevalent. More often than not a female's swimwear is cut to accent certain features that they want to show off. They are brightly colored and tapered and fitted and draw the attention of the viewer to the breasts and genitals. When a woman is completely naked in a casual situation, such as a beach, or pool, the emphasis is not there.

I like your commets here. I have also found there is more lusting twards clothed people. When nude the curiosity is gone so no need to lust? Reading the storys in here I am verry glad I set this up

Nicely stated, but I don’t believe that God or the word of God was/is mute on the subject of nudity (being naked) even in mix company. Two undeniable truths are found in the word of God, and if you believe as I do that it is truly the word of God handed down to man with out error and that God is the same yesterday, today and forever never changing then there is no argument.

God placed his precious creation Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden naked. And God declared it good. Now God being God, the alpha and omega, knew that Adam and Eve were going to sin and disobey Him in eating the forbidden fruit. Yet God still declared Adam and Eve good in their naked state. Their sin was “disobeying God” not running around naked. Their (Adam and Eve’s) feeble attempt to hide from God by covering themselves with fig leaves was all on them. God did not tell them to do that. Besides how are you going too hid from God? Only blood can cover sin. And Christ’s blood is all I need. I am free in Christ to be a new creature. The animal that was killed in the garden covered their sin of disobedience “NOT FOR BEING NAKED”, yet because they had sinned they were going to have to live in a different world. And God fashioned garments of the animal that was just sacrifice for this new reality. Now where do you ever see God commanding Adam and Eve that they had to cover their nakedness? In fact you see God telling one of his Prophets to remove his clothes (to get naked) for a span of three years even removing his sandals to prophesy completely nude God’s pending judgment on the people. This prophet was not talking to the snakes and scorpions of the desert, He was going into the towns and villages preaching to the people, men, woman, boys and girls old and young.

Now people if we could not follow one simple rule then ten? Why do we have to add another commandment the 11th? I am the Lord God and your nakedness is an abomination to me; you must be clothes at all times.

Indeed we are, but Christianity as a whole, at least in the past couple of centuries, has condemned most any type of nudity.

It never occurred to me that nudity was in conflict with the Christian faith. Are we not made in the image of God?
