:(

Yeah, life is unfair. We’ve heard it a thousand times. My story is like the rest. I was doing great educationally and financially when drugs became the most important thing in my life. I was arrested on a possession charge and was released, not even booked, once my co-defendant and I agreed to rat on someone. We never did so a warrant was issued. A year later, the same undercover narcotics officer got us in the same neighborhood, this time wasn’t exactly the same. But I ended up taking the first charge. (Attempted aggravated possession of drugs) I was found indigent and was given a public defender (I was working but once they heard of my felony, I was immediately discharged. I did some time and had a lot of paper to do. But nothing has changed now that I “served the time for the crime”, my life is screwed forever. Nobody’s fault but I own, I know. I made a mistake. A lot of mistakes. And forever, this will follow me. Everywhere I go. I feel like the woman wearing the scarlet letter.

I feel for you... I'm the same way... The only person I talk to is my husband... I feel like know one will ever believe me or understand me... And I got my felony over trying to defend myself... Prayers and good luck with moving forward...

Have you continued with your education?

Hi - Just a note that I feel ya! Please do not think you are ALONE IN THIS. Someone near and dear to me was conficted of a misdemeanor stealling a cd and is trying also to pull their life together.

Please think about this. YOU ARE NOT YOUR MISTAKES. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES. YOUR MISTAKE IS DIFFERENT IN THAT IT IS MORE INVOLVED WITH THE LAW AND BC OF THAT YOU ARE LABELED.

That said, try and concentrate on what you love to do. AND DO NOT GIVE UP...UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BC YOU DO HAVE A PURPOSE HERE...YOU JUST NEED TO FIND IT.
GOD BLESS AND GOOD LUCK
