What Bothers Me.....

Is people who are non cutters and they have all of this advice of what to do instead of cutting.....

so they say when your distressed instead of picking up the blade do these things instead....
use a red marker to draw lines where you would cut
listen to meditative music
call someone and talk
go for a walk
go for a nap

like seriously they dont get it...its the physical needing to match the emotional and drawing on myself with red marker wont do that....
just bothers me that they whoever they are think you could subside the urge with a red marker or soft music or a nap....and cutters dont discuss...its private....
unless you have walked in these shoes...you will never know the feeling of balancing your equilibrium in this fashion.
Now snapping an elastic against the skin like others have mentioned to do instead of cutting I can see working but isnt that kind of the same thing if you snap it over and over repeatedly to get the same effect you will have a huge welt...that could cause more issue then the sweet softness of a sharpened blade.....just saying....
