I Make My Own Tv

I have a character worked out in my head. An idealised version of myself. and i like to dump him into different situations, half the time from TV shows or books, the other times just things i made up myself, and i daydream the results, its like having a TV in my head, i can just sit for hours staring into space just imagining, its a very relaxing activity, just sit back and daydream.
Sometimes its so relaxing that i am annoyed to bump into friends because i know i am now socially obligated to stop day dreaming and talk to them.

Sometimes however, i just take ideas from TV shows and films i like, and make my own stories, i can watch feature length films in my head with ground-breaking special effects, and perfect acting, all for free. I sometimes think about putting some of these onto a page.. or maybe 200 pages bound and published, but i just dont have the ability to keep a narrative going on paper, it always seems to start to drag on after the 20th page or so.

Its a shame really, some of the things i daydream would make great books.

And all this time I thought I had a problem, nice to know someone else has it too.

Its not a problem, its recreation :)

Glad to know I am not the only one.
I make up characters and drop them into my life. I fantasize about what they would say and do if the were in a particular situation with me.
I write stories in my mind and wish my brain had a usb port so I could just load it to my laptop. I make up entire seasons of my own tv series. lol guess I have way too much time on my hands.
