There is no such thing as coincidence.
As much as it says for our country that a black man - and a woman - have gotten this far, it is not in the best interest of the Democratic party - or anyone who really cares about the direction in which our country is headed - to be divided at this point in time, and Barack Obama is doing just that, dividing our efforts to put our country back on track.
Ask yourself - "If Barack Obama hadn't came into the spotlight, who would I want in the presidency?" "Where did Obama come from? When did I first hear about him?" Forget the stories that are circulated in the interest of the parties - Remember actual events unfolding, go to the library and look up prior headlines.
If you do all of this, it seems more clear than ever that if we must decide to NOT let a ruse divide us, then we must see that Hilary Clinton is the real thing and Barack Obama is not.
Barack Hussein Obama will not bring the change that our country so deperately needs, he CAN NOT - if he could he would not be where the powers that be have placed him. All he is there for is to DIVIDE Americans and confuse them into losing the chance at true change.
Republicans (2007): How can we defeat this democratic shoe-in - Hilary Clinton? Yes, we have it - A BLACK MAN! The only way to assure that the country will be divided- divided they fall- and we will win! Besides there's NO WAY we would really have anything to worry about from him, he has no experience and no political following. Isn't there anyone besides this Muslim? Hussein?! Are you kidding?! No matter, the American people will see his skin color and explain it away as coincidence. What a convenient concept, this 'coincidence.'

Posted Jan 12th, 2008 at 1:06AM Hillary is not someone I find much inspiration from. Look, I didn't find much inspiration out of John Kerry either. I think that this is a pretty desperate move. Hillary Clinton does not inspire change. Half of the country dislikes her. Her plans are rather conservative for my taste. In terms of expirience, she doesn't really have alot more than Obama. First Lady IS NOT a political office. Rather, she's running on her husbund's resume. A man who brought many great changes to this country, and some not so great ones. By the way, he's not a muslim. If you don't want to go to snopes, go to the Political Skeleton Closet, which is nonpartisan. To me, Obama is the American Dream personified. This guy had his problems in the past and has overcome some overwhelming things. He has renewed my vigor in the elections, something John Kerry failed to do, and the uninspiring Hillary would do. He reminds me a great deal of John F. Kennedy, and perhaps more like John's brother, Bobby. This man is giving me hope that I, a one month before my 20th birthday, working class Pittsburgher, with usually only enough money to pay my bills, and only dreams to keep me company a reason to believe that my American Dream can happen. Only someone who is either totally ignorant about something like that, or a massive tool for the other campaigns couldn't understand.
Posted Jan 12th, 2008 at 7:44PM I don't agree that Obama is a republican ploy. He also says that he is a christian. I do however agree that he came out of nowhere and whatever anybody says, the country is going to be divided. Some WILL NOT vote for a black man. Some WILL NOT vote for a woman. So, while the repub's sneak up behind,as they're so good at doing, are runner's are getting tripped up. Let us NOT do this again. The country's future is in so much trouble. Let's get someone in there that we can all agree on. i heard Obama say"If Iran thinks that they can keep pushing us,we'll have to show them that we mean business"! OH NO! No more war!
Posted Mar 3rd, 2009 at 1:20PM So it's all the Republicans' fault that things are going so poorly in the country, right? And now that Obama hasn't completely turned everything around in the few weeks he has been President, he must be a failure, thus a Republican ploy to ruin the Democratic party. Unbelievable. I wish I was surprised that people actually believe this kind of crap, but unfortunately the vast majority of people (especially those that speak out the loudest) are incapable of forming an independent thought. So sad.
Posted Aug 10th, 2009 at 9:16AM I was so disappointed with how a lot of people looked at him like "the first black president," a "change for our country!" No more "racism," no siree, because this is a BREAKTHROUGH! ...We contradicted ourselves by making such a big deal. I don't think Hillary would have done much better, I wish Ron Paul could have won to be honest. It's just a shame that so many people put so much faith into him because of his speeches (They always say one thing and do another) or color. My town is full of ignorance; I once asked a friend why they voted for him, "Because he'll be the first black president! He'll make a change for racism, etc" No no no, my dears! What can a president do? Secretive actions, charismatic speeches? Sure. The only people that can make a change is the country itself. Why do we put so much trust on one person? One thing I'll never understand about some people.. I ranted, but I don't know. Wanted to get it out there..
Posted Aug 28th, 2009 at 12:35AM I'm not an American, but I have a strong interest in US politics. Where America leads, like it or not, the world follows. I respect Americans who voted for Ron Paul (where he was still on the ballot), Chuck Baldwin, Ralph Nader or Cynthia McKinney. Voting for the "lesser of the evils" is still a vote for evil. Its sad that this presidential race seemed to have more to do with identity politics (race, gender, personality, looks, etc) than with actual policy substance. Support HR 1207. Audit the Fed! (Sorry, couldn't resist that little plug)
Posted Sep 8th, 2009 at 5:50PM "a black man" and "a woman" have gotten this far racism sexism Still it WAS THE MAN WHO WAS "PREFERRED" - ONLY BECAUSE PEOPLE NEVER LIKE STRONG AND AWARE WOMEN. BECAUSE OF THAT ONLY. Everybody prefers somebody like them - NOT SOMEBODY ABOVE. THE BEST, THE MOST AWARE AND QUITE KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS A "DANGER". Hillary lost ONLY BECAUSE SHE WAS THE BEST. NO ONE EVER LIKES SUCH PEOPLE. THE BEST NEVER GET CHOSEN BY SOME AVERAGE OF COURSE. A COMMON RULE ALWAYS - EVERYBODY IS AFRAID OF THEM, AND THAT THEY MIGHT FINALLY CHANGE THE WRONG EVERYWHERE AROUND IN THIS WORLD. The BEST are never understood BY THE AVERAGE. Hillary Clinton would have saved America and the World - if she was given room lol. But she was not. Your current president is not that broad and aware. He is quite friendly - but that is not enough for solving any problems. Everybody is only comfortable with the "normal guys". QUITE WRONG - THAT IS WHY THIS WORLD IS NEVER GAINING ANY TRUE GROWTH. There are only a few strong a truly aware politicians worldwide - and Hillary was one of them. I say - was - because she much changed recently - I don't know why. I still much LIKE HER. You made not the best choice for your country - up to me. Hillary was the only one of your politicians, who could have driven your country and the whole World ahead. Because she IS AWARE. SHE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENS WORLDWIDE. Your current president does not, and is also under influence by many different groups of people. She would have not let that happen. The women are always more aware, and she especially IS QUITE STRONG. THAT IS WHY SHE IS NOT A PRESIDENT. Because THE WEAK MEN ARE AFRAID OF HER - THAT IS WHY YOU HAVE A WEAK COUNTRY AND YOU WILL. I see you probably vote for parties, but the most important is WHAT A PERSON IS - Hillary HAS A LEVEL none OF YOUR OTHER POLITICIANS HAS. There are only 2 of the current world politicians that I find to be quality persons - Margaret Thatcher and Hillary Clinton. None of the rest - INCLUDING ALL MEN - CAN EVEN SLIGHTLY COMPARE TO THEM. AND TO ME TOO. WE ARE 3 ONLY WORLDWIDE.
