Never Too Much

I've never had a problem throwing myself overboard for friends. Never had a problem giving all that I have to help a friend in need, the dream is to find a friend who will one day do the same for you. A friend who will risk everything to help you get out from rock bottom. It may be an illusion to find such a person but I'm still holding out for that dream. It's harder to do that now when you take the plunge and someone cuts your bungee cord, essentially making it much harder to be able to just 'bounce back'. I have a select few angels I feel I can rely on and fall back on. There are others who want to be let into that category but whom I just don't believe can do it for me. It's not a matter of 'let me catch you next time you fall'. The issue at hand is trust, there are some people you never have to question trusting. There are others who for whatever reason, either the warning lights go off or your gut instinct holds you back. Right or wrong, that's just the way it is.

Boy this one really touched a nerve with me. I too am very giving. It is my nature to reach out when I see some one in need. I love to give, to love, to share God's word. But unfortunately most people that I come across do not feel the same way I do. I was recently let down, guess dropped off a cliff is more how I felt, by some one I truly felt was a friend. But I have come to realize that I have to depend on God's love and not anyone else to get me through life. Trust is such an issue with me. I need to know that somewhere, there is someone out there that can be trusted to be a true friend. I hope you find yours!

I've finally learned to listen to my instincts.

Yes , when I call someone a friend it is because that person will have my back and will not let me down. <br />
Loyalty and trust are very important in a friendship without that the bond will never strengthen and in time just fizzle and disappear
