Uh, NO. A mother cannot ever be a father. The feminist myth of "father figure" is a hate lie that tries to reduce real fathers to some "Ken" doll which can be played with and traded.

Every child has a fundamental human right to know and love his own natural father. Even the UN Declaration on the Rights of a Child affirms that right. The love and guidance of a child's own father is the number one factor in the success of a child. Statistics on children raised away from our fathers are so bad that single mothers should be arrested for child abuse.

Shame on you for harming your child by depriving him of his own natural father.

sir... you have no idea of the background.... so get off your high horse please. the "father" is father to many... "DAD" to none. abusive, alcoholic and totally irresponsible... i did the best thing for my son when i left, when son was 3 months old.

Dan I think you miss the point of the story.....I assume you miss a lot of things. Her son has acquired the ability to use the toilet himself in a standing position. This will also come in handy when in the outdoors and the need to relieve ones self arises.
Your comment about child abuse is shortsighted and wrong. You presume to tell this woman that she has harmed her child by toilet training and keeping him from a potentially bad person. I think you are wrong.
A ***** donor does not a father make.

Hey, dozerdan! You must be DOZING! Sleeping through life! Nee is both a father and a mother to her son! Men like you are stupid. And I say that truly! One does not have to have a PENIS to be a father. I raised my son mostly on my own too! Taught him sports. Something a father traditionally does. So when he played soccer with me this year and yelled hey ma before he kicked the ball to me, it was because I was his father. You are speaking with badness. Makes me wonder why. You must have shortcomings, indeed. Perhaps strong women frighten you. SHAME ON YOU FOR BEING A POOR EXAMPLE OF A MAN! Your idiocy and bigotry and obvious hatred of women are your curse! Leave Nee alone. And don't speak negatively of her motherhood. You probably don't even love your children if you have any! You speak like a weak, unkind, sick man. Come pick on me. I will kick your stupid words down your throat. She raises her son to be a man. You are NOT one. C'mon bring it on! Jerk!

There are many absent men as fathers. They are absent often because it is the mother's choice. Abuse. Insensitivity. Coldness. Reasons are many. I know "men" like this. And I use that term as that is their sex. Real men are supportive. Provide funds for clothing, food, etc. My oldest brother abandoned his son. Fled to another part of the country to avoid paying child support. What a jerk. And his son grew up far away from his abuse. At least not in person. Grew up loving, intelligent, confident, a real man. For this I am grateful. This brother who is not a good sibling at all, lamented loudly even at my dad's funearl about the rights of fathers. He had no right. He was not a father. And never would be. Learn a lesson. Be a great father or be absent. Your children deserve real loving parents. Not hypocrites. Real men step up to the plate. Not stand in the dugout, bitching and moaning.

@jatpak, "Your comment about child abuse is shortsighted and wrong"

Nope. DozerDan's comments about child abuse is 100% accurate. The statistics on failure of children raised apart from their own natural father are horrific. Gangs, crimes, prisons, drugs, prostitution, failed education, failed relationships, children raised without their fathers do worse in every part of life than can be counted or measured. Feminist misandry and PC "support" for single mothers hurts uncounted millions of children.
