Think Marisa Tomai In "my Cousin Vinny" -- But Better!

When you think of Audra Fordin, think of the movie “My Cousin Vinny”. It is Audra’s real life Story. Her great-grandfather, grandfather, uncles, cousins and father; all auto mechanics.

For 4 generations, since 1933 the Fordin family had been in the automotive industry. Audra is the first female to own/operate and WBE certify the family business.
Audra, loves to cook, spend time in her garden, is married to Ed, has 3 small children, and grew up with a lug wrench, rather than a silver spoon in her mouth. As a little girl if she wanted to spend time with her dad, she had to go to work. Audra will be the first one to tell you dealing with the automotive stereo-type “its man’s work” was always challenging. But, as she grew, so did her thirst for more experience.
Today, Audra holds many professional licenses and certifications. ATTP (automotive training program) Graduate, New York State Motor Vehicle Inspector, New York State Motorcycle Inspector, Air Conditioning Refrigerant Certified, ASE certified, on the advisory and committees for SUNY Farmingdale Automotive Technology, GoGreen Auto, FenderBender Magazine, Long Island Children’s Museum, Car Care Council Women’s Advisory Board, Consortium of Automotive Education, The AutoLab panel,,, WomenCentric expert, Verizon Fios1 T.V segments and more.

Repairing cars was always Audra’s passion. Her Passion became her mission. Her mission has now become a movement. With more than 27 years experience in the automotive field, she has proven herself as an expert in the industry.
In the shop, they treat her as “one of the guys”… However, SHE is not a guy! With Women Auto Know, she is bringing the automotive industry into the 21st century.
