Freethought MovementThe modern (read: western) freethought movement started during the end of the Renessance and the beginning of the age of Englightenment and has slowly died since then only to now make some resurgance as Progressive ideas are again rising in the minds of the people.
The "motto" as written by William Kingdon Clifford is "It is wrong always, everywhere, and for anyone, to believe anything upon insufficient evidence." To be a Free Thinker is to be a member of the freethought movement. It does not mean you get to be of any thought you wish it means you are able to question and be questioned of why, what, how, and when.
And like Histroy, Life, and of course, Science, it has a liberal bias.
