Coming Out.

OK. I'm coming out. Random ramblings of an old geek. I know the answer to life the universe and everything is 42. I read science fiction, I can program in assembly language. I read The Lord of The Rings in junior high. I played Dungeons and Dragons. I cried when Gary Gygax died. I read his book on role playing. I build models of planes, trains and automobiles. I used to run a BBS. I make batch files. I had one of the first dial up accounts for internet in Canada. They gave me a static IP. I've made a living fixing computers. My first modem was an acoustic coupler. I owned a "pre turbo" IBM PC. Yes, 4.77Mhz. I'm old. I'm a geek.

I always smile when I see a reference to the hitchhiker's guide---there is nothing better than being a geek

I always thought it was "the geeks shall internet the earth"..hmm..
Dude. That's an impressive rapsheet, I give mad props! Especially the static Dial up IP and the D&D

If anyone wants to read a GREAT book on the early days of being a geek, Read iWoz by Steve Wozniak.

The geek will inherit the earth. ARE a geek.
