I've Never Thought I Was.

Kindness, manners and being helpful is always something that was bred into me for early childhood.
I still open doors for people, say please, thankyou, excuse me.

The other day in the supermarket I was unloading the goods from our trolley onto the conveyer.
I had just finished when a elderly lady in a disabled scooter trolley pulled into the checkout opposite.
I have seen her before, she is only about 4 foot tall and has a hunchback but she carries on.
She was struggling to unload her trolley so I asked her if she would like help to which she agreed and was very thankful.

I heard a commotion behind me, the person i was with asking me what I thought I was doing and that I should be helping her ( even though we were only just about to get served).
The checkout lady looked at her amazed and said " he is being a good Samaritan". Well I never thought of myself in that sense.
I find it natural to help people.
When I had finished packing my shopping and paid, I looked at the elderly lady I had helped. She gave me a beaming smile, which in turn put a smile on my face.
