I Watched

I was very privileged and delighted to watch my grandson being born. Several friends advised me against it, saying it would be too emotionally draining watching my daughter suffer, but luckily she had a very quick and easy labour, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I am so proud of her, and of her husband. My grandson is an absolute joy and I count the days until I see him, which is most weekends.

I TOO AM A GRANDMOTHER! I HAVE FIVE! MY GRANDDAUGHTER IS 22, I HAVE FOUR GRANDSONS, 15, 16, 18 AND 19. I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH. WHEN THEY WERE ALL LITTLE, THEY SPENT NEARLY EVERY DAY WITH US. I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MANY FISHING TRIPS, BASEBALL GAMES WITH MY BOYS,, AND BIKE RIDES I TOOK WITH MY THEM AND MY GRANDDAUGHTER. AND HOW MANY TIMES I PLAYED "HOUSE" WITH MY GRANDDAUGHTER, AND BAKED AND COOKED.

BEING A GRANDMOTHER IS UNLIKE ANYTHING ELSE IN MY LIFE. DIFFERENT THAN WHEN I HAD MY OWN CHILDREN, AND I HAVE THREE GIRLS. IT IS A FEELING YOU CANNOT EXPLAIN TO ANYONE THAT IS NOT A GRANDMOTHER. SO ENJOY! THEY GROW UP QUICKLY AND ARE MORE PRECIOUS EVERY DAY THAT PASSES!

What a great experience to watch a baby enter the world. Iwas unable to watch my grand daughters ages 22 and 3 be born because they were both c section. I was blessed to see both great grand babys be born. Jacob is almost 4 and his sister Kaylie is 3 months. I am a proud grand mother of 3 grand daughters ages 22 21 and 3, 4 grand sons ages 25 15 11 and 9. 1 great grandson 1 greatgranddaughter, and in july another great. When my granddaughter had her 2 babys and i was blessed to see them enter this world i was in total awe, it was an amazing experience.

If you're close to your family, yep, it's very similar. My younger daughter takes her aunt role VERY seriously. The whole maiden-mother-crone thing that a child with loving aunts as well as grandmothers has watching over him surely must give him some major advantages in his start to life.

Awesome!!! I was at the birth of most of my grandchildren, and as soon as they went into their mothers arms I looked at them and said "Happy Birthday Darlin!" *Grins*
