I remember the first and ever camping trip i ever went on with a bunch of teenagers. Well, hmm, firstly I remember trying to set up a tent. And how it rained during the night so that only a few of the tents collapsed during the rain and only 1 or 2 sturdy tent held up, unfortunately these were not enough to accommodate so many people. Further, I was in one of the tents that collapsed. I had no sleep at all that night. It was chilly as hell!! but I had no place to keep warm....the food wasn't bad though, cooked over camp fire, that was one of the saving graces. But on the whole it was the most memorable night of my life. But one that I would not readily repeat again.

Not my idea of an overnight camp but the kids will remember it, good weather or bad weather.

Sounds like they all had a good time, one big adventure, that's what life is all about. You brave man ! : )

LOL two brave adults---maybe it isn't a bad idea, come to think on it....some kids actually behave better in mixed company. Have fun brave soul :).

Yeah, not just mixed, but you have to be a teenager to be in it. Talk about wild! But they are good kids and we always go out with one male and one female adult...

It's still not camping out weather here...frost on the roof tops--but the violets are blooming-- so Spring is getting started. Scouting can be such a great experience for kids...My husband used to tell me how much his experiences in Boy Scouts meant to him. I had a girl scout troop when my daughters were youngsters...it was a really good experience for me--and for my girl scouts too, I hope. Don't tell me they have mixed girl and boy scout troops nowadays...That would be really difficult---too distracting for everyone lol....

No flirting, no cuddling, a lot of shivering and pulling coats around themselves... And no, you can't go because next time is shooting day and I just don't want dogs with guns to start shooting at everything...
