Wow, thanks for all the support. It is true, and that is one of the reasons I am not in school because of the pressure to do so. School doesn't make a person, living your life makes you.

I plan on getting my ged, in a few years.

Thanks for all the great comments

Think the key point is that people are different and every person is valuable -- basis of respect for others.

Society puts too much pressure on education. As a result, the educated ones may really prove uneducated fools whose only point in life is to put others down. What difference does it make if you were educated at a prestigious university or at a local university or haven't received higher education at all? What counts in the end is what you have in your heart and how well you can eel with your life. Being you is being you, doing what you think is best for you, not what some educated loudmouth thinks you should do. Who says higher education is important? I thinj mot sudents in the end don't learn anything anyway.

    I hope you are well.

    Best regards!

There are highly influential views that people are capable of many different types of intelligences, only some of which are well-catered for in traditional schooling. What this means is that there isn't necessarily a correlation between achievement at school and "success" or "achievement" in life. No doubt SoftestHeart there will be opportunities for you to work with whatever strengths you have, regardless of graduation or no graduation. From my own experiences in the workplace, it certainly isn't qualifications that get you somewhere. The key skills are more about getting on with people and getting things done, in whatever context that may be. Does education necessarily prepare you for that? Maybe, to a limited extent, but experience counts for a lot more. If anything qualifications count just as a first step. Open-minded people know there's a lot more to it than that though, and hopefully it's open-minded and fair employers we all seek. Sorry I went on a bit, but it's kind of a topic close to my heart. Best wishes!

It is better to have common sence then book smarts anyway. I did not drop out of high school but I barely graduated. I have common sence but I am not book smart. Don't get me wrong I love to read and read all the time but I would rather have common sence. I have seen to many people out here that are book smart and stupid at the same time. lol Cleaning houses is not a bad job. My mother did it for years and I even helped her. Have you thought about opening your own cleaning service business? I thought about that at one time until I got my CDL to drive a Semi. Now I wish I had of went to cleaning houses instead of this. I don't like being out here on the road all the time and being away from home. Good luck and just remember you can do anything you set your mind too.

Don't feel bad.. There are people like us who can understand and support u. So cheer up!! you never know how successful u could be in the future. My principal told a story of a guy dropping out in year 10 without a leaving certificate and now he is a multi-millionaire and CEO of a large company. Just pray to god and everything will be just fine:)

If you need anything then just pinge me anytime.

    Regards,

    Hina.

I will be getting the Trust Funds; in less than a year. I have better things to do than waste my time in a government institution for something that really means nothing; it's a piece of paper, it doesn't change who I am or my ability to do things.

Umm Webster... My father left me with two life insurance plans that double in case of accidental death; thank you! I will be getting married within a few years, and have a few clients whom I clean their houses. So yah thanks for the Good Luck; I have a great future ahead of me; I don't have to be consumed with a career!

    Have a wonderful day :)

    Are you rich ?

Have you married somebody who is rich ?

    Are you on Welfare ?

Are you on permanent disability ?

If not, who's going to hire you to do ANY type of job, without at least a high school diploma ?

    Good luck.

just dont let that be your end. your excuse to not do bigger and better things. so what you dropped out. what are you going to do now to assure your self a great future. you can still get your GED. you can still get some kind of trade or go to training programs. just keep going. good luck!

It's okay, SoftestHeart, don't get discouraged. Society has lead us to believe that education is everything but I feel like it's important to society because they want to put you down, and if putting you down makes them better people, who has the biggest problem -- Society does. I live a life where life experiences count more for something than the education I received will, and that's coming from someone who dropped out just like you.
