Fear is what keeps me from coming out. I had my first expierence with a girl two years ago, and since then I've been with a few girls, but never actually 'dating'. I'm afraid of how my family will react since they always talk negatively about my gay guy friend.. and well for my friends. **** them, if they can't except me then their loss. I am just so nervous for the family to know. :s Any advice?

In my experience it is harder for people to accept gay guys then gay girls.

I can only guess but they've loved thus far through everything. They will love you just the same now.

hello.. we are in the same situation.
i have a somewhat conservative family..and my mom doesn't like me to be friends w/a gay or a lesbian..but i enjoyed their company and there's nothing they can do about it.my sis and me had conflict for the last two years bcoz she found out that im a bi..
anyway..just follow your heart and do what makes you happy. :)

hi im in th same shoes as u so start by telling ur sis or bros them when u feel its time u will know i have not told my mom but i have to cuz i want to b happy and not live a double life as well as u

Your happiness is all that matters. Your family and friends made their own choices for there lives and you should do the same. The day that I decided to come out totally was the best day ever. I never felt such happiness

Follow your heart. Wait till you move out then go for it. If you don't want to hear them complain, lock the door and unplug the phone. You will probably be telling them sooner or later. Just do it when you are ready. But probably better to wait till you move away. Maybe quite a distance.
