I Am a Low Maintenance Woman

I am pretty low maintenance. I don't need expensive clothing or cars...jewelry or toys. I am perfectly happy riding around in a dirty pick-up truck with the one I adore..wearing jeans and no make-up. I have gone camping with a couple tarps, peanut butter, carrots, whole grain bread, kale, and drank water from a fresh mountain stream. Happily. There are some things that I do require though. Truth, and affection freely shown. I need a lot of loving. Sometimes I need my friends too much...lean on people emotionally too much. But not so much these days. I am really OK being an island onto myself for the most part. I have to be in a lot of pain these days to reach out for help, and thankfully, for the most part, I am feeling good -

Sadly I am a high maintenance man. Not material things. Not most emotional needs. But I do like to talk on occasion, and I expect those near to me to hear me out. Sometimes I have something to say, my better half refuses to listen, and it gets ugly.

Most of all, I cannot keep an office organised, and I do not have a personal secretary. I can't keep my schedule straight. My wife has to do the gardening. Once we started having kids, the shopping became too complicated for me to process. My wife does all the sourcing and negotiation with contractors around the house. And so on.

I do not like at all to initiate sex, and so require a spouse who is uninhibited about doing so. That out of the way, my tastes are fairly plain vanilla.

I see your point. I think that both are a problem. But then again--I have never discussed this with a man before. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

emotional high maintenance can be way worse than the material high maintenance.....

speaking from a man's point of view.... for some reason I think woman see it differently.
