Marines Vs Love

So I am extremely new to all this, and well if y'all knew me at all this website is completely out of character for me...but I'm at a loss and not sure where to turn. I guess I should start from the beginning
My marine and I first met in high school. I dated a mutual friend and we became friends because of it. He enlisted and moved to Hawaii a month after his graduation. Needless to say things didn't work out with this other guy and I finished high school and went about my life.
About two months ago, I went out with friends and ran into him at a bar. He was home on leave but told me he had been stationed back stateside...only 4hours away :)
Basically, since that day we have been inseparable. I have visited him and he has come to see me. But he has been through a lot and its not a bad thing but sometimes I don't know what to say. He is not a romantic and carries a lot of scars. I've never dated a military guy.
So basically I'm asking for advice on how to learn the lingo and not look so much like a newbie :)

I'm fairly new to the whole Marine girlfriend thing too. You're guy sounds like mine in the fact that he isn't romantic. It makes it somewhat difficult for me because when we talk there isn't a lot of emotion there. It definitely takes some getting used to. As for the lingo, i don't know a whole lot either but im sure your guy would be glad to answer any questions you ever have :) best of luck to you as times get difficult! :)

thank you !! Mine isn't always the most romantic either haha! Ditto on the talking, but he's really trying to express himself.

I'm so glad to find I'm not the only girl. My marine is anti-romance. My jaw about hit the floor the other day when he said he was head over heels for me. Haha it's the small things, right? :)

awww !! omg that's so sweet =]

It is so the small stuff I totally know what you mean! :)
