It's Official. I'm An Air Force Girlfriend.

So my best friend finally asked me out today via Skype. Made me super happy. He is stationed in Germany until 2016. He will be able to come home in may for a month. This will be the first time I get to see him as his girlfriend. I get to Skype him everyday which is really awesome.

The only thing is... I have never had a long distance relationship. I don't know what to do. I miss him a lot.

I know this may seem petty because I know some of you don't have the option to talk to your significant other everyday. But again this is all very very new to me. My and my ex spent every day together.

If any of you have any advice please let me know. Thank you.

I'm in the same situation, minus the germany part. My boyfriend is still stationed in the US but i can't leave to see him because of school here and not being able to move down there till the end of my schooling next year. But my advice that i'd give to you, since this is my first long distance relationship with someone in the military and i've been doing it for 8 months so far, is to just stay strong. Of course depending on how much you really like this person, the wait is really honestly worth it. At least when he comes home, you get a month to spend all the time in the world together. My boyfriend gets to come home for like ten days and it goes by so fast but it's worth the wait! I get to talk to him everyday, so i really am thankful for that, but i understand that it's not the same as being close to eachother. Just try your best to stay strong throughout your wait, and just know that there's plenty of girls out there that are going through the same thing that you can talk to!

Thank you. I'll try to remember that.
