My boyfriend wins. He wins because he'll be stressed, busy, have no service, annoyed out of his mind but throws it all aside for those he loves. He wins because he knows how to put others who need him first. He wins because no matter how hard things may get for him whatever it may be, life, work, stress he'll drop it all in an instant. None of that will matter, not when someone is in need. He wins because he's selfless, he wins because he's selfish. There's a time and a place for everything & he knows exactly what to be when the time comes. There are times when I think I've lost him to his depression but he comes right back & shows me he's exactly who he has always been, a fighter. He is my love & my heart, my guide. He wins because he's humble & confident. He wins because he sees things in a way no one else does, finding comfort in the smallest things; flowers, trees, the sound of my voice. He wins because although this darkness is tearing into his brain & trying so hard to overcome him, he won't let it even on his worst days. So he wins.
And I couldn't be more proud to be the one he loves. I couldn't be more proud to call him my boyfriend, the man I love, with every single part of me.

I feel like your boyfriend, I give myself for people so much that it hurts me. I find happiness in the smallest things, but am I fooling myself.
