Starting back at school tomorrow and it's me and my soldiers one year anniversary. He only left a week ago to basic training and I'm so new to this and I don't know how to keep myself sane while he is away😔

Write him letters! It's the most helpful, therapeutic thing I do! Even though you can't send them yet, you'll feel so much better. And honestly, just talking to other girls on here and reading their experiences and giving advice makes you feel so much less alone.. We're all taking it day by day just like you! Feel free to message me if you ever need to talk about anything at all (:

Yeah try and stay busy. You're going to have your ups and downs the key is to keep yourself up the majority of the time and not down. Join a support group and as you get the hang of things you can start helping other girls like us. It really helps me out to know others go through what I have and to help others. It makes me feel like I'm making a difference in the world and gives me a sense of purpose.

stay busy! its a good thing that youre going back to school it will keep you occupied and when you get home pamper yourself, have a clear out, watch a movie, go for a run, do anything you like just dont sit on your own crying every night it will make things so much harder for you, you have to be your own best friend and treat yourself by doing what makes you feel good :)
