Posted Sep 16th, 2007 at 10:48AM Me too!!! It's a very difficult job being an army wife. I wish my husband would sometimes understand that us women go through a lot for our men, I know they see and experience things that are difficult to deal with but it is hard being the one at home worrying about wether your going to see your loved one again!! *hugs* x
Posted Sep 17th, 2007 at 5:26PM I couldn't have said it any better. Our jobs go without recognition, but they are vital to support our husbands whether they are deployed or not. We are the backbone of the military. Behind every good soldier, is an even better wife at home helping him to be all that he can be.
Posted Sep 18th, 2007 at 12:56AM I'm new to the Army life. I've had lots of military family memebers and still have an uncle that is active, but actually being the one that is having to deal with every day Military life...WOW...My husband is still in training and we are suppose to find out soon where we will be stationed at. I'm scared and excited at the same time. It is so great to hear and see spouses that love and support their soldiers 110%
Posted Sep 19th, 2007 at 5:18AM You're right armywifeuk, it is hard, but knowing that I'm doing everything for US, makes it that much more valuable. We do deal with a lot, as well as our husbands, but we all have to be strong. I consider myself the backbone for us right now, because I have to hold everything down, until he comes home. But he can pick it back up when he comes home...LOL I don't worry too much about wether or not my husband will come back home to me because I always try to be as positive and optimistic as possible. I have faith in God that he will bring my husband back home to me. We have only been married a month, in 3 days, but I know he will come back home to me, and we will pick up where we left off, and I look forward to that. *HUGS* right back at ya!! Stay Blessed!
Posted Apr 6th, 2009 at 12:30PM I'm a proud Army Wife also. We just arrived at Ft. Bragg Mar. 27th, 2009 and we love it here, but we'll find out in the next couple of days if he will be deployed in Oct. It's the waiting that is the hardest. We talked about him going many times and we knew the time would come. I am a 1yr 4mo Army Wife. My DH is prior service. I love being an Army Wife. I guess it's not as hard for me due to the fact that I was a single mom of 2 for 12yrs before we met. So I had to handle it all, by myself.. But just knowing where he will be, will absolutely be harder. I know that. But he needs to know that I will be strong. I hope the best for you. I know you don't know me, but from one military spouse to another, if like family and so if you ever need to talk, just email me.
