I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds so tragic and absolutely terrible that innocent lives were stolen. My heart goes out to you and your family during what I can only imagine is a very difficult time.

I was wondering, have you ever considered sharing your story with a magazine? I write for a few in the UK, and have found that people actually feel a lot better after sharing their story and speaking out about what happened. It would be a great opportunity to raise awareness for what happened too.

I'd love to help you do this so if you are interested, please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions. cher.heasmer(at)pressassociation.com

    Kind regards.

Yes, I agree with Dee Ten, find a support group.

I am so sorry. What a horrible thing. This is truly as bad as it gets. Find your group and talk about it. Nothing will bring them back or make up for what you have gone through but there is no need to go through it all alone.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your grief has paralyzed you, but this is a natural thing and not something you can or should avoid.

Your mind and body need time to fathom what has happened to you and to begin to accept these awful events.

Feeling lost is natural too. Your whole world has been thrown upside down, and because the murderer was known to your son and daughter-in-law, you must be wondering who you can trust.

Allow yourself time to work through these feelings, tell others around you that you are still in deep grief and will be for some time. And then gradually take the first steps to regaining your confidence, perhaps by drawing close to other family members and telling them how you feel on a daily basis.

I am so sorry for your loss. It also has to be so very painful that it was a friend of theirs that committed such a horrible act causing so much grief and pain.
