I Am a Mother
I am now officially frustrated with those blasted companies that are so detached, they have no sense of what it means to have a family! My husband just returned to Taiwan from a business trip to China, and they are already discussing his return trip!
He has a wife, me, and a 4-year old daughter who has practically forgotten how to play with her own daddy!
By the way, his last trip? Supposed to be o ly one week. Turned into three.
If it only happened once in a long while, I wouldn't be so upset. But every single time he goes, I'm told 'Oh, it'll only be about one week.' Once, that 'zone week' turned into three months! I didn't have a full-time job then, and he never once even thought to ask how we were doing without him and without any money. Then he said he would arrange for us to fly to Hong Kong for our anniversary and spend 4 days together. Then tells me the day before, sorry, no can do.
When he came back, it was a month after our anniversary.
We packed for a fun weekend away for ourselves and our daughter, and then I still don't know where it came from, but he found a condom in some random gym bag he grabbed upstairs.
He accused me of cheating on him.
I tossed the condom out and two days later found one in the bathroom. I asked him about it, and he admitted to getting it out of the trash 'just in case'.
If he had truly believed I had cheated on him, or planned to, would he have really wanted to keep it?
I tossed it again.
That was almost 2 years ago.
It has now been 2 and a half years since ..... And I feel like all I've got is a glorified housemate.
This sucks.
