12 Weeks Premature

2 days ago, June 23, 2012 at 5:16 pm, I gave birth to my baby boy Gavin Wyatt who is 12 weeks premature. Being so premature I was terrified when they wheeled him down to the nicu, but surprisingly he is doing amazing, and that makes me the happiest girl on earth.

He only had a breathing tube for a day and now breathes on his own.. with a little bit of help. He screams and cries and kicks and grabs our fingers.

He is my little miracle and I couldn't be happier than I am right now. He has made me so happy in the last few days that nothing could bring me down. Love my baby boy, going back to see him tonight with his proud daddy.

I am so happy for you, lately it feels like i hear nothing but sad stories that end in heartache, im so glad your little boy is doing well :')

Thank you. I was so scared that this would end in heartache but my boy is fighting so hard and I am sure that this one won't.

My partner's boss' son's little boy was born the same time as your little one and he was on oxygen for 8 months after birth and TODAY was taken off and doing real well. This story hit home about how fragile my pregnancy was too, i had a major bleed at the same time and a miscarriage before that pregnancy, luckily we went to full term and had a healthy baby, good luck with his health for the future.

I am hoping he can get off of the oxygen very soon, his lungs are doing great. and I am so glad to hear that both of your stories turned out good. and Thank you very much.

Happy Birthday Lil Man!!!!!! Congrats Mom and Dad!!!!!!

Thank you so much.

Congratulations to you! My baby is 2 months old now. Giving birth and that time immediately following is the greatest feeling on earth. I wish all the best to your little one and all of you.

Thank you. This birth was different because i cant hold him yet but I am still very blessed!

You are right, it is different due to the prematurity. It sounds like your little one is doing well, though, so I hope that continues and that you are able to enjoy this very wondrous time with less worry.

Thank you. He is actually doing very well and we got to hold him yesterday for the first time. it was a great feeling

Very glad to hear it. :)
