First Goodbye

My boy friend is leaving in exactly one month for occupational training. He will be a couple of states away for 4 months, and seeing as he had gone through basic before we got together, this will be the first time I will have to say goodbye. I think he is actually more anxious about the seperation than I am - don't get me wrong, I am beyond nervous, and I was wondering if anyone could share some tips on how to make the goodbye feel more like a "see you soon". Please and thank you!

I completely understand what u are goin thru. My fiance' is set for deployment the end of the year last we heard n I have no clue how I'm going to handle it since we just had a lil girl. Everyone has told me that it will go by fast but a year is so long and he will be missing so much in our daughters life. If u ever need to talk feel free and I will help in any way possible

4 months can seem like a long time but if you don't focus on how long it is and you focus on other things (i.e. school, work, hobbies) the time will go faster. My boyfriend is currently away at basic training and ait and it's a total of 14 weeks or 3 1/2 months. The best advice is to find something to occupy your time. and if you want to talk, i'm here to listen. :)

Thank so much :) I think having all of these wonderful people in the same situation will definitely help!

if you want to talk about anything at all. i'm here to listen.
