Ghost Ship

I just watched the movie, Ghost Ship again.

I have it uncut on DVD, and it is an awesome movie, based on what Captain Ayne does. Salvage. The first time I watched it, I thought Katie - the ghost girl - was evil, and don't know how I missed the true villain...

The movie is a horror on-the-edge-of-your-seat movie. It starts out showing what happened over 40 years ago onboard an Italian ocean liner. Everyone on board is killed, very brutally... Then a flash forward to 2002, on board a salvage ship with a crew who has been out to sea for 6 months already.

It took them several months to bring a ship up from the bottom, and they blow an engine trying to tow as it is still taking on water. The Capt. decides to cut the lines, and let her go down, as he has already lost one engine and can't afford to lose the other. But he has a really good repair team - and they patch her up real nice.

When they are back at the docks, celebrating with their riches for bringing that ship back in, they are approached by a pilot who has pics of an ocean liner he claims to have spotted in his plane. He convinces them to allow him to come with them, and off they are. There was some protest at first, but after the possibility of making millions, everyone goes back out for what should be a two or three week mission.

When they find the ship, it is an ocean liner that went missing in 1962, and nobody has ever heard from her again. They find appx 300 million dollars in stolen gold bullion, and several mysterious signs of evil events that have occurred onboard...

A ghost girl named Katie tries to warn them, but an evil entity who seems to be the devil keeps her at bay. Throughout the movie, I kept thinking it had been attacked by pirates, but later on I was led to think it was Nazi soldiers...

This is a really awesome movie, and I am not going to spoil the ending - you have to watch it, and I am using my newly acquired Vampyre skills trying to use mind control... It really is a good movie, and I highly reccomend it to those of you who like the inexplicable, and the fact that you will jump every three minutes!

Well Puddy Tat, strange coincidence indeed! Looks like some things are destined to be! Thanx for reading, and the comment!

@ G. - I love the scary movies, was Virus scary, or sick? I don't like sick nasty movies... He does look like he has been hit by a truck, doesn't he?

@ BT - the '43, was it similar at all? Or is it an entirely different story? I still think they were Nazi soldiers.

@ Ching - I can see why she has such a good memory! LOL

@ Willie - Right? BT is nowhere near pretty! LOL

@ BT - Are you still trying to figure out what you've got? LOL

@ Ayne - thanx for reading and commenting! You running wild in London is an image to consider! I could imagine what you would tell them now! Love the beautiful girl with the hula hoop! :-))

@ CV - Mais oui ma cher, the luxury liner Antonia Graza was an Italian ship, everyone on board was Italian, and the song that the lady was singing was in Italian - even Katie was Italian, but she was studying English. That is a very good memory you have! I just saw the movie, and it took me a few moments to realize what you were referring to! :-))

Thanx for the comments!

@ Sarah, Thanx for reading, and the comment!

@ BT - that was the most messed up part of the movie, dude! I think it was the worst... Don't know if it is a remake, but I'm sure... they are remaking everything - another reason why I think I may be able to do this... It's original, and nothing like anything out there...

@ AG, Thank you. I feel really happy that I am liked and that you like my stories... My new Avi is a pic I took of myself yesterday morning, after I trimmed my beard a little. I like this look better! :-))

Right, I get that.

I think that it would have destroyed my infatuation with dinosaurs as well, if I had seen it at so young an age.

I still am afraid of the water - not so bad anymore, but I am extremely weary of sharks...

But I love to go to Dinosaur Ridge - I still drive through there alot, Love It!

@ Jenji - yes, the "Series of Unfortunate Events" was a very good movie, but sad, as well.. I did like it, though. Thanx for commenting! BTW I really like your new Avi :-))

@ Willie, thanx for the comment. I too like Julianna M. - she's one of my faves!

@ Sam & Diane, thanx for the comments... Sorry that it was too evil for you, I kinda dig that stuff! :-))

@ Skitzo, thanx for reading, and the comment. If you are into that kind of movie, you will love it!

@ Ching, I understand your skepticism... But if they made the movie ba<x>sed on reality, it would really suck. It is the bending of the truth, and preying on peoples fears that make it really good - and it is definitely not for everyone. Thank you for commenting, and your honesty. :-))

@ G., Do you mean to say you actually saw this when you were that young?! You are really quite brave from a very young age! Jaws gave me nightmares, and I didn't see it until I was 9... Thanx for your comment, also! :-))

Wow, sounds like a very interesting movie, i'll have to check it out, thanks a million.
