You should be able to, I dont see why not. I mean my friend (also a newly wed) went to Korea with her Husband right after they got married, after she finally got her passport in the mail and stuff. But you should be able to go.

as far as I know. She had to wait for the paper work to go through the army that they were married, then she had to get her passport, and wait for that to come in the mail, as far as I know, thats all she had to do. My friend got married into the airforce too, and she was able to go to Japan with her husband after they married, but she also had to wait for her passport, and her paperwork, and for the airforce to give her a date she was allowed to go, because I believe the airforce purchased her plane ticket for her. So she just had to wait on that too...

I think you should go. "far from the eyes far from the heart." From my experience a man far from his wife is not good news. I don't want to scare you. But you should be where your husband is if you have the option . Look at it like this, it will be a new experience and you can always go back home if you don't like it.
