Meet Rainbowchristmaslights!

We caught up with new member rainbowchristmaslights and asked a few fun questions. Get to know your new community member and don't forget to say Hello!

EP: Good morning and welcome. Wonderful to have you join us. Let's get started right away. If you could change one thing about your life, what would you change?

rainbowchristmaslights: Pleasure to be here. Glad you brought that up. I would remove my stutter. Like all adversity, I've learned a lot from it, but now I just really wish I could be rid of it. It's not just in little daily things that it drives me nuts; eh, I've learned to substitute words, to make up clever ways to dance around meaning, and to find my own way when I'm just not up to asking for directions. I've grown accustomed to ordering what I can say and not necessarily what I really want, and to avoiding small-talk situations to the detriment of my sociability. But! I really want to be a linguist and a verbal translator! So badly. And I can't, because it's even worse in foreign languages when I don't know enough words to hop nimbly around problematic sounds, and not being able to talk kind of makes learning the language inordinately difficult. I do speak 4 languages, and am known for being a "language whiz", but I'd probably know twice as many if I didn't stutter so badly. Or at all. How liberating that would be!

EP: That was so interesting, I almost lost my place in the question deck. If you had the chance where you could do anything you wanted, with money being no object, what would you do?

rainbowchristmaslights: I sure hope people are enjoying this interview. I would travel! Like everyone else, obviously. But I especially want to go to the Ecuadorian Andes, and learn how to play their music. All sorts of pipes. To live there, breathe the air, immerse myself in the life, and find out exactly why that music plays on my heart so. It's what my soul sings in the shower, apparently, it moves me so profoundly. And I want to do it!!

EP: Really interesting. When you are 100 and looking back at your life, what do you want to be able to say?

rainbowchristmaslights: Who wrote these questions. That I made the world a better, healthier, more sustainable place. Again, a common dream. But I hope I inspire people to take care of themselves more, and to work with nature - go with the flow - instead of constantly battling it, in medicine and in daily life. And I want to have made people happy. You know how there are those people who bring some sort of glow into your life? "Breath of fresh air", "ray of sunshine", "shining light", whatever you call it. I hope I do that, on some level, cuz those "light people" are the ones who've really reaffirmed the wonderfulness of life for me.

EP: Ah, of course. It's quite a unique way you have of looking at things. Well, that concludes our up close and personal interview with rainbowchristmaslights . Stay tuned readers, for our next New Member Interview.
