EP: Good evening and welcome. Wonderful to have you join us. Let's get started right away. What is the best advice you have ever received? Who gave it to you?

nightingale14: Pleasure to be here. Always happy to answer that. Take every opportunity that is given to you and never look back. My eldest sister said this to me before I left home and went travelling for a year. It kept me going, reminding myself that I was there to travel, not to stay in one place and settle there, becasue I wanted to try new things. It forced me to put myself out there in a situation where I had to speak to people and made some amazing friends. People I'll always remember, even if I never see again. She was the voice in the back of my head, always pushing me to say 'hello' to people and helping me to make the most of my experiences and my time away from home. She made me let go of my fear of the unknown and I felt incredibly free.

EP: Moving right along. If you could change one thing about your life, what would you change?

nightingale14: Who wrote these questions. I would see more of the people I love; my family and friends, near and far. I'm a very indepedant person and while I love ebing with other people, I'm just as ahppy, if not, at times, happier on my own. Because of that, I sometimes forget to see my family or friends; I'm too busy having a good time on my own. My dad describes me as an introverted extrovert, as while I'm loud, proud and an exhibitionist, I can loose myself quite deeply in my own thoughts and seem very quiet and shy - which I'm not. I guess sometimes people just don't understand me that way. I've had friends thinking I've forgotten them, are ignoring them or that they've offeneded me in some way, when really I'm just doing something, like walking up a hill on my own, enjoying the view and the solitude. Or I'm at the zoo, having a giggle at the penguins.

EP: I see. When you are 100 and looking back at your life, what do you want to be able to say?

nightingale14: This is like twenty questions. That I have no regrets. That I lived the life I wanted to live and to the fullest. That I knew what it was to be in love - requited or not. That I tried everything, at least once. And I gave, at least one person, joy in their life.

EP: Very well. It's been a real treat to chat with you today. Well, that concludes our up close and personal interview with nightingale14 . Stay tuned readers, for our next New Member Interview.
