I guess I'm more of a Navy "fiancee" if there is such a thing. My fiancee and I met earlier this year. Neither of us had planned on a relationship, as he has been planning on going into the Navy since last year, and has never had a girlfriend before. Either way, things didn't go as planned, and we fell madly head over heels for each other. Now he's over in Great Lakes doing basic, then off to A school for him. He started Basic on the 13th of August, so it hasn't been long, really, but it feels like forever. I don't know how I'm going to make it. I have a child from a previous relationship, that he is planning on adopting when he leaves A-school, as well as signing our marriage license. I'm just so scared that he will find someone better, someone more like him, and I'll be alone when I'm depending on him. Also, I have no clue how to handle this isolation. His mom tries to help me as much as she can, but even she can't help with everything. Does anyone else out there currently have a partner in the Navy? I'd love some advice, something to help me out in this long process. And, by chance, if anyone else has Sailor boys in DIV 324, lemme know! That's my man's Divison, it'd be great to go through this with someone else.
