I Don'T Know If You Could Actually Call Me A Night Owl

I am up all night but not really by choice. I have a weird fear of the night and going to sleep. When I lay in bed I hear things. I worry. I get paranoid. I hate the night, but yet I love it. I like quite, but I hate the dark. I just can't lay down and go to sleep no matter how tired I am. I've always been that way.

I have always stayed up nights, but I figured out long ago not to take decongestants, it makes me paranoid. Do you take those? Or maybe other medications? Sometimes its an allergy to medication. You could also have DSPS, which is a sleeping disorder, but it is usually accompanied by anxiety because we are so aware and awake at night. Also, we concentrate on out immediate environment, the night, because everything else to concentrate on is asleep or closed down. If we were normal and tired at night, we would be to tired to think about it for long.

I don't think it's too much of a stretch to understanding why you can't sleep..Quit watching the horror movies. You're terrifying yourself.
When I watch the late news or something upsetting before i go to bed I have horrific nightmares. Horribly frightening nightmares. What I do now is put on some peaceful meditation music and just let go. Give it a try sometime. It might work for you. Also, different types of meditation or relaxation music works for some people and not others. And for heaven sakes stop scaring yourself.
