One Minute I'm Here, Another Minute I'm There

I moved around a lot when I was growing up because my mother was struggling to make ends meet. She was constantly searching for an affordable apartment to live it and a result we ended up changing addresses a lot. I attended 5 elementary schools, but things slowed down when I reached middle and high school. When I started college my mother decided to start moving around again and we ended up in 2 different apartments in 1 year, which wasn't bad compared to past moves.

Before her last move she ended up kicking me out (we got into a fight and it escalated) and now I don't have a permanent residence. It's frustrating to wander from home to home. When I'm not in school (graduate school currently) I stay with relatives for brief periods of time and then return to my dorm situation to complete my education. It frustrates me when people ask me what I'm doing for the holidays because usually it's not phrased that way, instead people ask, "Are you going home for the holidays?" I calmly explain that I don't have an official home, but this doesn't stop them from ask. Habit, I guess.
