My Faith

I have always had faith in Jesus Christ and have been seeking my lifelong to know what it means to truly be a christian. Prayer and scripture reading and study have been life pursuits. I have been part of and/or visited many different types of churches over the years, but I have come to the eventual conclusion that none are totally right-nor completely wrong. There is no one true church on the earth to which one MUST belong. I have found true christian teaching/doctrine cannot be found in any one church-my beliefs do not match up with any of them and so find I cannot claim allegiance with any of them! My faith and allegiance belong to Christ alone! I will continue to grow in grace and truth in the power of the Holy Spirit,in fellowship with God the Father, thru Jesus Christ, the eternal son of God,and savior of all men who trust in him! I welcome all as brethren who sincerely seek to do the same!

I love Jesus with all my heart! I just need to get closer to him and have a stronger faith and trust and know He is in control and let go of a situation and just release it all to Him and he will take care of it even when I do not understand why things are the way they are I have to let go...

I am a lone soldier. So far, so good!

Paul taught that the spiritual journey was likened to a race:

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize." (1 Cor 9:24)

I agree with Paul. I fight in this spiritual battle because of LOVE and so as to receive the prize. I understand that God tests us (Exo 20:20), that this life is a test (James 1:12) and as a soldier of God I am not excused from suffering:

"However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. (1 Peter 4:16)

Even though I suffer why do I still praise God? Because I was born for this:

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." (Psalm 139:14)

I am sure we all understand the hard challenges as God’s soldiers:

And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner? (1 Peter 4:18)

In other words, please stay strong! Hang in there as one completing a race. Praise God always, regardless of our situation!!! Draw strength and encouragement from the words I write for my shoulders are broad. I too carry my cross and I am PROUD OF IT!!!!

Praise be to name of the Lord forever and ever!!!!

what it comes down to is JESUS is the head of the church.. and WE are the church... going to church should not be called going to church.. it should be about getting together with other believers to edify, inspire, and strengthen... getting together is important and getting plugged in to a core group of believers is the way a soldier of any army survives... a lone soldier doesn't survive very long .. he gets shot down.. we are all soldiers in God's army and although there is no perfect church or body of believers to be alligned with ... there IS a perfect God to follow IN JESUS CHRIST.. G Bless..

Have you ever watched the movie Patch Adams?
Most people would have only seen the obvious4 fingers ,but the person with true "SIGHT"
will see all 8 fingers ...because that person has the gift of seeing with "Sight" BEYOND the OBVIOUS...

after Patch finally realized he saw 8 fingers , and not just the obvious 4, the gifted man said:
See what no one else sees.
See what everyone else chooses not to see...
out of fear and conformity and laziness.

I will never forget those words... They touched on such deep personal note, as I too
had been struggling to belong, and yet my beliefs never quite fit in anywhere totally,

Jesus said: Seek and ye shall find:
I have a feeling Jesus is proud and his many Seekers and Finders, and those of us who sometimes march to the beat of a slightly different drum, seeking wisdom and learning just as patch learned to See with Sight Beyond the OBVIOUS...
God Bless You.

I have to agree and disagree. I have been to several churches in my lifetime and it was pretty much the same. If you follow their rules, have a good paying job, nice home and a nice car then you are excepted. I've never been well off in the world of living but I know I am well blessed with God. If the churches would let God be incontrol things would be better off but we all know that to many people are judgemental with others on what they have and not what they share. I know God is with me and I don't have to be in a church every Sunday to confess my sins. I know when I sin and it is between me and God. I pray that you do find that calling to find a assembly that works with you and not against you. I had to many bad exsperinces with dealing with people at church. You get tired of being judged all the time. It is not up to the peagan to judge if I should be there or not. May God be with you and bless you. GG

In my opinion, I would disagree that there is no church on earth with which you can agree with, but I do believe that sometimes it is hard to find one that is past all man-made rules and systems of working things. A church must recognize Jesus as the One and only Head of the Church. I hope you can find an assembly that shares the same walk of a very personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and who also seek to grow to full maturity in Him and listen to the Holy Spirit's teaching.
