The Torture Of Furtiveness

It's been on my mind alot lately, this secrecy. I've already written a story about it in another group but it's still on my mind. I wonder how many of us bide a secrecy law of some sort. I also wonder if those who speak often or openly of their magickal endeavors are successful. I mean, I talk about things I've done, but rarely in detail and if so it's something I know is long over.

It's hard sometimes because I really wish I could share some things with someone. Some of these experiences would be nice to hear fom another witch on. So yeah, sometimes it's torture. I just wanna shout from a mountain too!!! I think I may start sharing some old experiences, but not ones in progress. What do you think about furtiveness in the craft?

    Do you mean a furtiveness from another witch or others (non-witch)? To tell you the truth, I was so lonely when I began my journey as a witch. Then I found some witch friends where I can share my experience openly to them.

    I also have some non-witch friends who know about me being a witch. I need to be very careful though, because not all of my friends will understand. But luckily, so far I have no problem with my non-witch friends. They're very tolerant and sometimes they even ask me to share my experience in the craft. :)

      Between witches who practice together the should be no secrets. Outside of the circle is where I concern myself with secrecy. I mean that if you did a spell lastnight for good luck, the last thing you should do is tell someone, "I did a luck spell last night!" By speaking to others about your ongoing endeavors, you have invited their energy to your spell. They may smile at you, but they could be thinking, "what a nut" in their head. Directing that type of energy toward your spell will lead to it's failure.
