Hey, My name is Ty and I am a 28 year old incomplete para. I truly understand you. I hate telling people, " you have no idea what it is like," yet find myself unable to connect with people in my situation I can relate to or vise verse. I went searching high and low on the internet and had very little success; till I found E.P. It sucks there are people out in the world who do get it, but at the same time, it is but a small comfort there as well. I hope you are able to make a connection with someone or people "groups". Best of luck and know I am here along with many more who support you all the way:)

Ari, sorry but I think this is so sweet! My first thought was asking you if you searched here.I have a friend with fibromyalgia and he searched for all kinds of stuff on the internet and thanked me so much because I found an online self-help group for him. He said, why have I never searched for that?

You have room in your circle for new friends. Im a bit upset that one of mine has gone.

I'm still searching for friends who will reciprocate my attitude to reading and commenting on their stories, and generally be mutually supportive.
I know that twenty friends would be as many as I could give satisfactory attention to, but I only have 11 and a couple of them are borderline.
I just don't see the point of a circle of people who are not really interested in me and what I write. Just as I need to be interested in them and what they write. Thats how it works for me. I appreciate that other people are happy to do it in different ways. That's fine by me, to each his own.

I think about twenty is a good number too, but it creeps up, and I am reluctant to remove some friends from my circle - just in case they come back.

I hope this brings lots of new views and buddies to you. How cool that your search brought you right back to us. We arrived at almost the same time here....How cool is that too...We've been buddies for just about all that time too..... *happy sigh*

I hope you weather straightens out too.....I always look forward to your garden!! Instead of a "rain dance" I'll do a "dry and sunny dance" for you!! :D

Thanks very much sie. Unfortunately the paraplegic group is not looking to promising. Most of them seem to be struggling with adjusting to being newly paralysed. I've offered help and advice to several, but so far no one has shown any sign of taking it.
Yep we've been friends for a long time now, I remember when we were both Tigers :-))
