Inner Strength

Realists need a lot of inner strength to cope with various issues day to day. We have no illusions or ideals to help deal more easily with the bad stuff going around us or in the world. So, in our experience, we are confronted with it all much more directly. It is important for us to make an extra effort to notice anything positive coming our way, no matter how small. --Realism might be simple, but sure isn't easy.--

Ugh, you said that all too well.
The only reason for the "ugh" is because I know you are right, but it is hard for me to acknowledge positive things coming my way, although I know I should!
Thank you.

When I'm asked if I'm a pessimist or an optimist, I normally get stange looks when I tell them I'm a realist. I agree with this very much and I'm happy to see someone else understands how it is. :)
