Recovering Addict

When i was eight years old i started smoking weed. Around the age of fourteen i tried exctacy and started drinking. I did those every day for two years straight. Within those two years i got into doing percs Vicodin xanex and cocaine. I got really bad into cocaine and did that for almost five years. It kept me calm and helped me with doing day to day activities. On my 16th birthday i tried heroin. And that led into trying shrooms acid meth and a couple other things. But my main choice was cocaine. In 2009 my nephew was born and that made me open my eyes. I told myself i was going to quit for him but it took two years to make it complete. I have been clean since June 22 , 2011 and i have never felt better. Its hard at times dealing with everything sober when for over 8 years yu were never sober. But im glad i am and i will never do it again. Not just for my nephew but for me too. Im a better person now. And im almost a year sober.
