Posted May 26th, 2009 at 12:01PM Hahaha the felt sense, you learn Math, to read write, and sports, but who teaches the felt sense??? Read a good book on the subject emotional intelligence, or Peter A Levine is one medical author telling how to re appropriate your feelings. I am emotionless in many cases until I open the door and woosh, it's adrenaline heights chills and spills. I love to feel strongly about anything worth a rats butt to get out the door and doo something about it. We are so pacified and individualistic our days.
Posted Jun 6th, 2009 at 12:34PM so am i...its very hard to control sometimes because i FEEL EVERYTHING, and people don't understand it. They see it as a weakness or immaturity, and that frustrates me. For example, i lost my grandmother last October. I was at a Sports day yesterday and saw a child's very old grandmother there to cheer him on, i felt happy and sad at the same time. I think its best to embrace it and just let yourself be who you are....your true friends will understand and accept it..and the people that can't, or won't..well you don't want those people in your life anyways.
Posted Aug 18th, 2009 at 10:39PM I was so sensitive growing up that my father was convinced that I was gay. Sorry but sensitivity and mazculinity have nothing to do with sexuality...."not that there's anything wrong with that." A few years ago I read a book called The Highly Sensitive Person" and it explained it well !! To tell you the truth it can be great feeling deeply and having great empathy. It beats being a Sociopath that feels nothing and has to fake it to fit into society. Most woman love a guy that is sensitive. All the guy's I hung out with as a teen were VERY INSENSITIVE and COOL. The girls just love that until they get married and she has a period and feels bitchy or wants some empathy or help around the house :0)...... They were all divorced quickly :0).... I think my sensitivity is more of an artistic gift and I embrace it. Growing up in a mining town and being sensitive is an oxymoron but they did teach me how to knock out another man with one punch. I guess that's why no one laughs when I cry while watching a love story :0)............................
Posted Sep 1st, 2009 at 9:19PM HEY "SKUM84" I think that's a GREAT IDEA. A nice girl goes to your country and you sell her as a sex slave. What the HELL is wrong with you that you need to drag someone to your country were they can't get free and go home. Your either a Sociopath or a criminal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted Nov 12th, 2009 at 4:16PM Sensitivity... I do not find that to be a curse. I've lived with my own sensitivity for a long time by bottling myself up inside without even realising it. I only really discovered myself in fourth/fifth grade and was shocked at how much I didn't know about myself. The perky, nothing special girl I was was definitely not me. I for one love my sensitivity. I feel as if I feel and see things on a different level than others do and, although it can make me feel like a total alien, I love it. I could spend an hour watching the mountains surrounding the mountainous state I live in and be completely lost in my thoughts. I usually spend a lot of time outside just to think and before I know it, it's been half an hour or maybe even an hour on a day when I'm really lost in my thoughts. Another thing, don't hate being emotional... It's better than not feeling emotion at all. Emotions, though some may disagree, are amazing things. They make you the complicated person you are and in my book the more complicated, the more interesting. At the time, I could not be of much help but oh well. I hope you learn to love your sensitivity.
