I Am a Shopaholic
First I want to state that I am NOT a shopaholic.
I am a collect-a-holic.
It is not my fault that the things I collect have to be paid for.
I would accept them for free if I could!
Second I would like to state for the record that I do not own a credit card although I could if I chose to.
This is to ensure that I never have to go bankrupt!!
Thirdly, I am not officially out of room in my house yet so there is no actual reason for me to stop.
And finally, fourthly I would like to state that my "condition" has never been the cause of a relationship break-up so it can't be THAT bad!
Now, lets do some serious talking! There is nothing like the thrill of finding the ultimate bargain, unless of course your talking about the 'rare find'. Then the thrill sky rockets. Bargain hunting is a thrill of its own and is not the mark of a true shopaholic. A shopaholic will pay if need be for what they deem the ultimate find. Then there is yard sale-consignment shop hunting. This would be for adding to 'sets' or finding out of date items one is looking for. I indulge in this often.
The next step is 'free store' shopping. This can be very tricky and hazerdous. To some it is the same as garbage picking or or 'curb shopping' Another favorite is factory or outlet store closures. But the ultimate in trinket collecting shopping is the antique-junk shop stores. I could spend all day and a lot of cash in one of these!!
