I'm A Single Mom On Welfare

I have received not one dime of child support nor will I ever likely get one. I have spent years in therapy working out my depression and ptsd issues. I just recently started college and am planning on teaching high school science. I have goals and dreams. I don't want to be on welfare. They lose my paperwork and sanction me and make it as hard as possible to get the money that I do from them. My entire income is not enough to rent a one bedroom apartment in the city I live in. So.. I'm homeless too! I won't be homeless much longer I hope.

It's difficult when you don't get child support but there are other types of support you can get out there. I learned to accept that there will never be any support from the biological father. It creates more positvity and less anger and resent therefore allowing more positive things happen in your life.

i know exactly how you feel im a single mom on welfare too not getting any support from his father he owes me $6000 in child support. i am starting college to get my degree as medical admin because i dont want to stay on welfare

  i feel exhausted all the time school work and single motherhood it is just tiring. i feel like crying all the time..
