Dont Understand

I became a single mum 6mths ago, but in reality my child and I were on our own for a long time before his father actually left us. My ex only wants to see our son once a month, and thats some thing I dont understand if I didnt get to see my little boy every day it would devistate me. But at the end of the day I am greatfull that we are on our own his father was no support to us at all and always bought us down. My son and I will only benifit from being on our own.

It's shocking how many guys are making children and then able to wash their hands.

not all women like that.

wow I wish I had the strength you had! I envy your independence! I'm going through basically the same thing and its KILLING me.

Life is as simple as you make it. Just do what is right work hard and stay strong. Life goes on.

My marriage broke down shortly after the birth of my only child ( he's 18 now).
We had a devastating time with Sam's dad and police and social worker helped relocate us and begin a new life with new names.
I have been a single parent since my son was 2 years old, so I understand you completely. I take my hat off to you for your love and devotion to your son, and the unlimited demand for your time and energy to raise him on your own.
Many positives though.......no conflict about parenting skills, you can devote all your time to your child without feeling guilty about neglecting husband, your can decide where and when you do your other activities without consulting spouse !
