I Am a Sister
I've always wanted a lil sister . I never wanted a kid brother. I don't know why. I just...did. lol. I remember when I was a kid, I would look up to the sky and say, "Please God, give me a baby sister. Pwease?".
That wish was fulfilled on the 3rd of November, 2000.
My parents didn't even tell me that it was going to be a baby girl. I just knew. My mom didn't even let me hold her cuz she was afraid I'd drop her. :P I remember throwing tantrums because of that. I remember jumping for joy when my baby sis started walking her first steps, said "big sis" for the first time, wailed at the top of her voice in the middle of the night (and I'd cry with her too :P).
Now, my sister's 9+. We have fights over the silliest things - "No, I'm older, I get the TV!"... "Hey, who used my lipgloss?!"... "Mommyyy, sissy ate the last piece of chocolate cake! Waaaahhh!"
She immediately knows when something's wrong with me, or when I'm feeling down and does everything she can to make me feel better. On my last birthday, she bought me a pair of cute earrings and a keychain with her own pocket money.
At the same time, I sometimes feel like a mother to her. My mom's busy, so I was the one who took care of her when she was sick, I'm the one who explained the "birds and the bees" to her, and I'm the one who gives her advice on how to deal with her bullying peers. If anything happens to her, I'm the one who panics the most and it's always my responsibility to take care of her.
I love her with all my heart. We have our fights and disagreements, but at the end of the day, we have a bond that cannot be broken.
